Nitrogen inflation of tires

The advantages of using nitrogen have long been appreciated by Western Europe. There, in tire workshops and specialized centers, such a service – business as usual.

A nitrogen-filled tire holds pressure more evenly. This is expressed in the fact that when the tire is excessively warm in summer or when the ambient temperature drops significantly in winter, there is no sharp change in tire pressure. In addition, a natural pressure drop occurs more slowly in a tire filled with nitrogen. Nitrogen does not come out of the tire so easily, since its molecules are larger than air molecules, and the pressure loss is much smaller, respectively, it is less necessary to pump the wheel than when filling the tire with air, which consists of 21% oxygen and 78% nitrogen.

And also oxygen has a harmful effect on rubber, or rather, it is the oxidizing properties of oxygen and water vapor. Passing through the chamber, oxygen oxidizes the cord, bead ring, disk. This affects the strength of the tire, and therefore the safety of driving.

Benefits:

  • Reduces the need for tire inflation and tire pressure monitoring;
  • tire durability increases;
  • bus performance is improved;
  • its repair is facilitated, since the inner surface of the tire and the carcass do not come into contact with oxygen, which eliminates corrosion;
  • corrosion of rims and valves is reduced;
  • tire burning or bursting due to spontaneous combustion is excluded.

The cost of nitrogen inflation of tires is 50 UAH per wheel.
